GET TO KNOW US

I launched It's Not Trash because I'm a fixer at heart. There's something special about taking what's broken and giving it new life.

A year into my journey, I invited my mother to join me in NorCal, and today, we're proudly rooted with three locations in California—San Diego up to Ventura, the OG It’s not Trash run by me. Monterey to San Jose, led by my sister-in-law Chelsea. San Jose to the Oregon border, managed by Nate.

Seventy percent of everything we create is crafted from recycled materials. We source these by scouting alleys and partnering with green demolition companies that salvage wood from decks, fences, and home demolitions. We're not just makers; we're conscientious capitalists. In today's world of planned obsolescence, where products are designed to break, we're flipping the script. By redesigning and repurposing what's discarded, we're tackling this significant issue head-on.

We take pride in offering people their "trash" back in a form that's not just durable but also affordable and destined to be cherished for years. Our aim is to empower folks like you and me — those who usually shop at budget furniture stores—to invest in quality, one-of-a-kind pieces that are both structurally sound, environmentally responsible, and won’t break the bank.

For us, it's more than furniture; it's a chance to play a part in saving our planet while building a thriving small business that sustains our family and yours. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to do what we love while making a meaningful impact.

We Choose to See Potential, Not Waste — It's Not Trash.
